RECOVERY CENTER & PEER SUPPORT

Recovery support doesn't have to mean living in a program.

The Roads to Recovery Center is a welcoming community space where people can connect with Peer Recovery Specialists, participate in recovery groups and meetings, work toward personal goals, and get help navigating challenges that can make recovery harder.

You do not have to live in one of our recovery residences to receive support through the Recovery Center. Whether you're new to recovery, returning after a setback, or simply looking for additional support and connection, our team will meet you where you are.

Roads to Recovery is a nonclinical, peer-led recovery organization. Our services are provided by people who understand recovery and are focused on helping each person identify and work toward their own goals.

How We Can Help

Support looks different for everyone. Our Peer Recovery Specialists work individually with participants to identify goals, build recovery capital, overcome barriers, and connect with resources that support long-term recovery.

Support may include:

  • Individual Peer Recovery Support

  • Recovery planning and goal setting

  • Recovery groups and community meetings

  • Employment and education support

  • Help obtaining identification and other important documents

  • Connection to healthcare, behavioral health, benefits, and community resources

  • Transportation and resource navigation when available

  • Support building healthy routines, relationships, and community connections

  • Help navigating barriers related to housing and other social needs

  • Ongoing recovery support through life's challenges and transitions

Groups, Meetings & Community

Recovery happens in community. Roads to Recovery hosts recovery meetings, peer-led groups, educational opportunities, activities, and other opportunities for connection throughout the week.

Our schedule changes as new groups and activities are added, so visit our Recovery Center Meetings page for current information or call us at 434-455-0053.

Who Can Receive Support?

The Recovery Center serves adults seeking support related to substance use, recovery, or concerns about addictive behaviors. You do not need to be a resident of a Roads to Recovery program to connect with us.

You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you're unsure what kind of support you need, that's a perfectly good place to start.

What Does It Cost?

Many Recovery Center services are available at no cost to participants through community partnerships, grants, and other funding sources. Some individualized services may have different funding or eligibility requirements.

Financial circumstances should never prevent someone from reaching out for help. Contact our team and we'll help you understand what services and resources may be available to you.

Ready to Connect?

You don't need a referral to reach out to Roads to Recovery. Call or visit our Recovery Center and a member of our team can help you figure out the next step.
