FIFTH STREET HOUSE -
VARR Level III
Intensive Peer Support Residence
Sometimes early recovery calls for more structure, support, and connection.
Fifth Street House is Roads to Recovery's 8-bed VARR Level III Intensive Peer Support Residence in Lynchburg, Virginia. The program provides a highly structured, peer-supported recovery environment with staff available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Fifth Street House is designed for adults who may benefit from additional support as they begin or strengthen their recovery. Peers receive individualized recovery planning, frequent peer support, groups and recovery activities, and connection to the broader Roads to Recovery community and local resources.
Fifth Street House is a nonclinical recovery residence. We do not provide medical detoxification, medical withdrawal management, or clinical treatment.

Who Can Apply?
Fifth Street House serves adults who identify as having a substance use disorder or acknowledge concerns related to addictive behaviors and who may benefit from a more structured, intensive peer-support environment.
Applications are reviewed individually by our team. Applicants complete an application and participate in at least one phone or in-person interview so we can learn more about their needs and determine whether Fifth Street House is an appropriate level of support.
Not sure whether Level II Residential or Level III Fifth Street House is the better fit? That's okay. Our team can help you understand the differences and determine which program may best meet your needs.
Program Costs
The Fifth Street House program fee is $400 per week, with a $350 non-refundable admission fee. Program fees include housing, utilities, 24/7 peer support, recovery planning, groups and activities, and access to Roads to Recovery's broader recovery resources and services.
Roads to Recovery does not bill insurance for residential housing. We understand that financial circumstances vary, and inability to pay alone does not automatically prevent someone from being considered for admission. Applicants with financial concerns are encouraged to speak with our team about their circumstances.
